“An idyllic rural setting in
the heart of High Legh”
High Legh Pre-School Nursery has a rich history, having been part of the rural community of High Legh for over half a century.
Established in 1971, we’ve been providing a safe and nurturing learning environment for children in High Legh and the surrounding areas for generations.
We’re a registered charity, run by a parent-led committee, and are a much-loved and respected facility within the village. We were rated GOOD at our last Ofsted inspection in 2022.
We started life at High Legh Village Hall, but over the years have also been based at the local primary, before we moved to our permanent home at Rosemead in 2018.
Rosemead is a converted cottage in an idyllic setting in the heart of the village, providing a home from home for our children and families. Our aim is to provide the highest standard of care in the most nourishing environment.
We have a wonderful outdoor area, a dedicated baby room and fantastic indoor and outdoor facilities, with a real focus on outdoor learning. We make the most of our rural setting and have strong links with the local farming community enjoying regular days out to our local farms.
Without a doubt, our wonderful staff are our greatest asset, and as a small setting with long-serving members of staff, you can trust in us to provide first-class care for your children.
We provide care for babies and children from six-months-old to five-years-old and provide 15 and 30 hours funded places for two, three and four-years olds.
As a small setting, we offer up to 26 places per day and provide parents with both traditional pre-school hours and extended nursery hours from 8am to 6pm, 51 weeks per year.
